Shadows Hygiene for Healthy Body, Mind and Soul
By Johanna Kern
What is our idea of well-being? Does our life reflect that? Have we permitted ourselves to experience wellness: physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually?
True wellness is an ongoing process.
Our physical and emotional health is not separate from our mental and spiritual well-being. It reflects our internal state, our subconscious programming.
To fully heal, we need to look for the root of our predicament. We can always find it in our subconscious. Why is that? Our subconscious encodes everything like a huge scanner. All our experiences, acquired directly and observed in others, are recorded and then used as templates for our future beliefs and behavior. What’s more, our subconscious is the “connector” between our own energy and all types of waves of energy flowing from the Universe, and other people.
The in-and-out flow of energy is possible via our chakras, which are seven swirling energy centers. To put it simply: chakras are energy “generators” for our own vibrations and energy “receivers” for other vibrations. Each of them affects our experiences in a particular area of life (relationships, career, creativity, etc.), as well as the functioning of the parts and organs of our bodies.
When a low-frequency vibration, such as emotional pain, a traumatic experience or abuse damages one of the chakras, it becomes “perforated” and is unable to properly function. It leads to developing problems in the organs or areas of life related to that particular chakra. The chakra system then tries to heal itself by “patching-up” the damage with a particular dense energy. That energy can be observed in our subconscious in the form of so-called “shadows.”
The name “shadows” was first introduced by Swiss psychiatrist Carl Gustav Jung. He referred to the dark rejected energy — everything that we do not accept in ourselves and in others — as the building material for blockages in our subconscious. We use the name “shadows” in Teachings of Hope with a similar meaning, explaining them in terms of low-frequency dense energy that develops in dysfunctional chakras.
The aftermaths of a build-up of the shadow energy — illness, emotional problems or life disasters — need to be addressed at their root.
In my many years of working with people, I observed 10 particular sets of chakra disturbances common in our Western society. It led me to developing the Shadow Transformation Method, which allows for recognizing, healing and maintenance of each set, which I call “banners.”
For instance, it has been observed by many healers that the malfunction of the first chakra is related to kidney disorders, problems with the spinal column, auto-immune diseases, cancer, AIDS, arthritis, obesity, osteoarthritis, chronic fatigue, etc. Furthermore, there could be issues related to security and survival, driven by subconscious fears.
The key is to make sure that we no longer focus on the problems, emotional wounds and trauma of our past.
There are tools that help release negative blocks from the subconscious. The best are guided meditations, daily affirmations and audio recordings containing positive subliminal messages. And, of course, transforming our shadows will further help to raise the frequency of our vibrations and help us evolve.
To balance your first chakra, you might try the following:
physical activity, massage, gardening; refraining from reading, watching action books, films and TV news; listening to tribal music of Africa, America, Australia and Oceania; listening to or playing the bassoon, didgeridoo or primitive drums; listening to 396 HZ Solfeggio frequencies (used in sound healing); taking trips to Africa, America, Australia or Oceania; and listening to indigenous or native group concerts, or documentary films on tribes and nature.
That’s just a brief list of suggestions. There is a lot of information that you can find in appropriate books and articles. Seek help from a really good and trustworthy Reiki Master or energy healer.
Without the appropriate shadows hygiene, our imprinted negative patterns bring us in the end to failures, disappointments, illness and struggle. We have the wisdom, and all it takes is our willingness to fully enjoy wellness in all areas of our life.
