 The fears that hold us back in life, not allowing us to have a happy relationship, successful career, or reach for our dreams.

They are often not quite clear to us.

They may effectively affect us from our subconscious, while we may not be aware of them. Or – if we are aware of them – we may not know how to deal with them. That happens very often in life. Most of us have already learned how easy it is to give in, give up, and forsake our happiness.

Why is it that we let our conscious or subconscious fears drive our lives, rob us of what is our birthright: our innate, natural happiness and joy of life?

  • What we believe about the world and ourselves is often an outcome of our past conditioning. We tend to develop a set of subconscious beliefs and fears based on the experiences in our early life, or what has been imprinted in us by anything or anyone who has, at some point, become an authority in our life. 

  • We may, whether consciously or subconsciously, live according to how we have been programmed by our parents, teachers, caregivers, society, a religious dogma – or anything that has been an influence on our thinking and feeling about ourselves, and the world we live in. 

When we are children – we are naturally happy. Small children, unless hungry, ill or hurt in any way, usually wake up smiling, and welcome each day with natural curiosity and passion.

Then, step by step, their environment begins to affect their innate joy, imprinting in them a set of conditions, rules, expectations, and demands. A child quickly learns that if he/she does not comply, the appreciation for the child – or even sometimes love, is withdrawn.

Together with the set of rules on how to behave, what’s good and what’s wrong, what’s desirable and what’s despicable – comes a set of labels:

“You are good.” “You are bad.” “You are black.” “You are white.” “You’re a boy, a girl, you’re awful, short, small, too young, too old, too skinny, too fat, too dumb, too stupid.”

What happens next? We begin to believe that we are not good enough. And – that we are not worthy of having the life we want: that is happy, healthy, fulfilled, and, at least in some way, comfortable, if not wealthy.

While all of nature thrives in abundance, we – although being a part of that nature – often become suppressed, depressed, overstressed, and unhappy, settling for less and struggling, instead of enjoying our life.

Enough of the bad news?

Let’s see what the good news is:

As human beings, we have proven over and over again that we are capable of the most amazing things.

  • We can change how we perceive ourselves, and we can change our life situation.

It is easier than you think.

Just recall the moments when you, and nobody else, have decided to think and do things your way. Yes, there were such moments in your life. Each of us has experienced them already, one way or another. And those moments of freedom from what limits us – felt great.

  • Every single person can turn his/her life around and find within mountains of hope, courage, and strength.

We can do it. We can have the life we want, and enjoy it in any way we want.
