All of us have our own unique purpose on this planet.
There are no two identical individuals or identical lives.
At the core of our being, as humans, we are the same: we all progress, we all need and seek love, we all go through the same cycles of evolution β whether individually or globally. Yet the way we express our common βcoreβ, the way we design ourselves and our lives β based on that βcoreβ, how we process our experiences, how we operate within our bodies, minds, or emotions β that is utterly unique.
-
Not only is each human being unique. But also every animal, every plant, stone, grain of sand, a drop of water, or snowflake.
Every single blade of grass, or leaf on a tree β not only is different from the leaves on the same tree, or other blades of grass on the same lawn. But it is also different from all the other blades of grass and leaves in the world.
And now imagine this vast abundance of life, the magnitude of all life that surrounds us, and the magnificent richness within us.
All of us are born to thrive and live with joy, becoming who we are meant to be and fulfilling our own unique purpose.
When we realize the beauty and importance of our existence – we naturally expand our vision of ourselves and discover our own potential.
As children, many of us experienced more than one situation when we were told that we werenβt good enough, or didnβt do something well enough. While some of us moved on and didnβt let themselves believe they are inadequate, others may still fear that they will never be good enough to live the life they want. It all depends on what kind of vision of ourselves weβve created in our minds.
-
What we believe about ourselves affects the way we think, behave, function, attempt and reach for.
However, our vision of ourselves is not a fixed thing. It may change according to our life situation, the change of our status or position, or even our mood. When we feel great, we see ourselves on top of the world. When we are blue, we think of ourselves in the opposite way.
What happens in our life often reflects what we think of ourselves.
-
Notice and admit to yourself that you were born happy and joyous. You did not feel inadequate in any way and naturally enjoyed your life, believing you were capable, lovable and good enough.
-
Notice and admit to yourself that you are capable of learning AND unlearning anything you want. It is up to you which patterns you want to perpetuate and which you decide to unlearn.
-
Notice and admit to yourself that comparing your situation to others is pointless and does not help you in any way. You are a unique person, one in billions, and so is your life story.
Here is a fragment from “Master and the Green-Eyed Hope”, talking about our perception and destiny:
βI recalled some people saying that we were like an ocean. Imagining the huge blue-green depths of it, I thought of us being the drops in the ocean. Of those drops, the ocean was made. Some of us floated on the waves and reflected the sunshine and moonlight. Some drops carried boats and ships. Some were constantly smashed on the rocks, while others were jumping up and down and swirling, creating whirls.
βEach drop has a different fate, a different way of being the ocean,β agreed Rhami-yata.
I continued my story, and further focused on those jumping, swirling drops. They were very βloudβ by nature, and other drops, when near them, were often pulled into their whirl. Some drops ended up in the center of the whirl, some just on its edges.
That picture made me laugh. βIt seems to be,β I said, βthat we drops keep watching other drops, and often come to conclusions about them. And then we say: βOh, look at that drop hopping up and down, sheβs created such a big whirl of drops, she must be special, a better drop she is! A true star! A great politician, or a fascinating celebrityβ.β
Rhami-yata smiled. βIndeed, Hermenethre, it might work that way.β
The drops from my story were now observing those being smashed against the rocks, and I could almost hear them talking about how hard and painful the smashed dropsβ job must have been. That they were probably punished for something bad they had done, or they were stupid enough to work so hard. βOh, we must be so much better than they are!β β some were saying. βBecause all we need to do is just float here, on top of this pleasant wave, and reflect the light. We must be privileged, special drops.β
The Master nodded slowly, carefully watching me as I was unfolding the story. His eyes were now the same shade of deep blue-green as the ocean I had created in my Mind.
βAnd thatβs how we program ourselves and others,β I said. βWhile jumping up and down, we, the active and creative drops, cause whirls and big βfamousβ splashes. And, yes, itβs fun, yet creating a whirl or splash is not the most important thing. Thatβs what I sense.β
He asked what was then the most important thing. And with that question his eyes turned grey, like the Statues, silently witnessing all that ever had happened here, in the Chamber of Seven Powers.
I looked at his eyes and the stone figures. And I clearly understood there and then, that every single drop in the ocean had its own unique job. Through that job we learned, and also expanded, gaining wisdom and knowledge through our experiences.
Every single drop was equally important. None was better or worse. Everyone was unique and could not be dismissed, replaced or forgotten. Every single experience of a single drop was the source of wisdom for the entire ocean.
(…) He told me that each drop could either accept what was given, or choose differently, and create another fate for itself. There were various ways to do that. A drop could change its dynamic, its vibration, and be able to jump in a different direction, from being smashed against the rocks to the top of a peaceful wave. Or it could vaporize, transform itself, and as a raindrop fall back into the ocean at a completely different location.
βAnd become whatever it wishes,β I interrupted, βa drop kissing the shore, a βwhirl makerβ or a drop exploring faraway lands. Or it can choose to be smashed against the rocks again.β (END of the excerpt)
