Sharing is caring!

When we experience difficult situations in our life, at such times it is best to look at our situation from a different angle.

Not to see it as a problem but as an opportunity.

Here is why:

When our life does not unfold in an easy way, and we are going through hardship, it is a sign of our own inner truth not being in harmony with what we are doing with our life. It does not mean that we are doing something wrong. Oh, no. You can’t ever be wrong about your life. It is your life, you are living it the best way you can at any given moment, and you and only you decide how and what you want to experience. Trust your own process, despite the setbacks, delays, or any obstacles on your way, or discouragement from anybody who doesn’t believe in you.

Trust yourself and trust your life. Don’t ever give up on who you are becoming, and trust your inner wisdom.

When you are experiencing a set of setbacks, and life seems to be very hard – ask yourself these questions:

Have I ever truly let myself be who I am?

What am I about?

What is my life about?

Answer these questions honestly.

Have you ever looked, truly looked into your own eyes in the mirror and tried to understand the person you saw?

Not merely looking at the reflection of yourself? But the real you?

We tend to think of ourselves in superficial ways: we judge how we look, we judge how we behave, we judge how we perform our tasks, how much money we make, what we know, who we know, what we wear, what we drive, where we live. But we rarely ask ourselves what is truly important to us. That is until we hit a roadblock that makes us stop and realize that we were blindly moving forward, not knowing where we were going.

All we wanted was to feel safe, to matter, to be acknowledged. And that need was never satisfied. Whatever we did, there was always something missing, lacking. But we kept going on anyway, because everyone else did that, and so we didn’t question anything, thinking that if all the people we know were living that way, then it must be right.

However, there is a time in our life, and that happens for all of us, no matter whether it happens sooner or later – that we come to a point when we hit a roadblock that is bigger than anything we have ever experienced.

It usually manifests itself as a dramatic situation. It could be that we lose someone we love, or that we lose our job, or that we get seriously ill. Or that we have our dreams crushed. Or that we get depressed for no other reason than that we can’t cope anymore with life as it is, and feel overwhelming stress.

And although we think that this is the end, in reality, it is the real beginning. We stop, we look back, and we see that we have gotten nowhere. No matter what we have achieved, or not, no matter how much money we made, or none. There comes a point when we stop in our tracks, and that happens so that we can give ourselves a chance to start all over again.

If we don’t do that, if we don’t give ourselves that chance – if we continue with our life as before, there’ll be another roadblock.

Only this time much bigger.

And, if we still haven’t learned that this is the best time to look inside and find out what’s really true to us, what it is that we really need – the story continues. Next time there will be an even larger roadblock, and so on. Until we won’t be able to deal with the magnitude of another roadblock, and that will be the end of the road for us.

We all have seen or known people who ended up in such a way. Unfortunately, there are many of them. As a society, we have been programmed to forget who we really are, to numb ourselves with whatever we can: shopping for often useless things, compulsively watching TV, overeating, overdosing, drinking too much, dating the wrong people, playing too many video games, gambling, clubbing – anything that lets us not think, not listen to ourselves, not cherish who we are.

Next time when you experience a setback in your life – stop and try to find out what it is truly about.

It may have nothing to do with you not getting the job you wanted, it may have nothing to do with what you wanted to achieve, or who you wanted to meet or date.

Instead, it might be your own Heart telling you that the life you live is not what you want.

When I talk about your Heart, I mean the essence of who you are, the core, the real you. Not your subconscious filled with your fears, not your mind limited by anybody’s point of view, not your personality shaped and conditioned in response to what society expects from you, not your background, your religion or belief system. But the honest and real you.

Look at that roadblock, from the perspective of your Heart, and be grateful that it lets you see your life in a different light.

  • Thank it for giving you a chance to stop and think how you would really want to live. What you would really want to experience in your life and what you would really want to give to yourself, and others.

  • Think hard. Remember, whatever you decide, make it your conscious choice. Have your life the way you really want it. Don’t compare yourself to others. Everbody on this planet is unique. Every human being, an animal, a plant, a grain of sand, a snowflake, a grass blade, a cloud, a mountain – wherever you look, you will not find two things that are entirely the same.

  • You are unique, one among billions, and so is your life story. Make it truly yours. You have the power to do that. You are a powerful creator and you can influence your reality with your thoughts. And if you haven’t noticed that yet, sooner or later you too will learn that that’s the way it is: Your life can be entirely the way you want it.

  • And when you find out how you really want it, according to what’s in your Heart – you‘ll be able to make it that way.

Your life is your own journey. Its distance is measured by the beauty of your Heart. Not by the length of it, not even by what you achieve in it. Your life is a journey that allows you to become who you were meant to be. And who you are meant to be – is entirely up to you.

REMEMBER ALSO: OUR SUBCONSCIOUS rules 90% of our thinking and behavior. It is responsible for our habits, emotions, automatic reactions, defensive mechanisms etc., which may keep you stuck in unwanted situations in life. You can reprogram your subconscious and get rid of the negative patterns stopping you from Living The Life You Want.

Useful Affirmation:

“I do not get discouraged by any build-up of delays, setbacks and obstacles. I understand that I might be going through the necessary self-healing process, which prepares me for the next step on my journey to a Better Life. I do not give up in such moments – but celebrate the good luck, success and happiness of others.” – From the award-winning book “365 (+1) Affirmations to Supercharge Your Life” by Johanna Kern.

And before all:

Relax. All is good. All is just the way it is supposed to be.
